As a long standing Edgars account holder (over 20 years), I have never had a bad debt or not paid my Edgars account.
In December I paid my account early (20th) and as I had not received my statement I paid the usual installment of R120. Early in January I received 3 SMS with absolutely no specific information - just "pay your account! ". I thought this was a mistake as I did pay my account. I then got multiple phone calls from incoherent, rude call centre agents.
After Busisiwe emailed me my statement - I realized that I should have paid an additional R150. I paid this immediately on the 15th January and emailed Busisiwe with proof.
2 days later I received a new statement with no record of this payment and an extra charge of R43.90 for late payment.
And on the 24th January - I received another SMS asking me to pay the remainder of R460!

And I have never had any reply or call back from Busisiwe or anyone else from Edgars to apologize for the harassment I received despite the fact I have been a loyal paying customer for over 20 years.
