Account settlement

I bought a lounge suite at joshua door germiston for the amount of R10408.05, i have paid them for 5 months by debit order and amount R653.00, my first debit didnt go thru solely because it was a fault with their branch, never the less i went into the branch myself and paid the installment, after 5 months of payment i wanted to settle this debt, i asked for a settlement amount and was told it is R9500??? how can this be after making so many payments, i phoned the head office accounts dept and requested a statement 3 times and was promised it will be emailed to me, i am still awaiting this, i believe that this is a gross infringement on my rights as a consumer.
up to today i have got no feedback for this issue.

i was told by the person i spoke to that this is due to the insurance charges and credit charges, but these are small amounts and my balance would have still dropped considerably.
