11 Month Old CAT Boots soles snapped in half

I purchased a pair of Blue Benno CAT boots from Cape Union Mart in Cavendish in Aug 2012. In Sept 2012, the lining came loose. They replaced the shoe. On 29 August 2013, my one shoes ''Engineered durability'' rubber sole snapped in half. These shoes were 11 months old!!! I contacted the importer of the shoes directly, Medicus Shoes and for two months emails went back and forth. Terry Lee asked for the shoes to be sent to them for analysis. The shoes were couriered to them and Terry Lee confirmed that I would have be to issued with a new pair.
However, the Benno style and blue colour was discontinued and I would have to choose a replacement. I eventually settled for a pair and was informed I had to pay in almost R500 difference! I refused as I did not expect CAT boots to last only 11 months! I have two other CAT footwear items, one being a Blue bruiser boot and the other a grey shoe. Both have lasted and still lasting, for more than 10 years! So by comparison, 11 months versus 10 years is unacceptable!! Terry Lee refused to honour the replacement as she stated they only guarantee the shoes for 6 months. I requested my shoes to be sent back. What must I do? I think its a disgrace!!
