Advertised Specials never available

The latest game adverts arrived in my postbox 31/12/2013. specials were advertised valid until 7/1/2014.
one of the specials was a 32gig flashdrive for r249. i have been to greenstone and eastgate branches and neither have stock as per sales person. this is an ongoing issue with game stores. i have been numerous times to the jhb city centre store only to find that the special is 'out of stock' . what is the use of this advertising if there is never stock
