Pick n Pay Gardens Lorraine sells off meat

Bought chicken kebabs on 31 Dec 2013. Sell by date is 8 Jan 2014. Called shop on 2 Jan 2014 to report. Spoke to Dean who said I could return for a refund. My new years braai was ruined! I returned on 4 Jan and took a walk to the butchery which was smelling bad and the offensive kebabs were still on display. When I confronted Kiril he said it was my opinion that the meat is off. When I raised my voice to warn people not to buy the meat I was threatened that he would call security to remove me from the store. Many buyers have complained of off meat bought there during the festive season. You can check Public Servant News Network Port Elizabeth's Facebook page for complaints logged on 3 Jan 8:01pm. They knew on 2 Jan, possibly earlier, that there was a problem yet kept selling the off meat to the public. I was told by Gaynon, the other store manager, that the store owner would contact me. Still waiting, 49 hours later. A complaint on Pick n Pay's Facebook page has gone unanswered after 17 hours. My next stop is the health department.
