Glasfit fits car disc-driver gets R200 fine -Metro

Last year August, our our windscreen picked up a large chip by a stone the size of a gold ball. Insurance claim was initiated and glass and panel was repaired. Upon collections noticed some extra scratches on the opposite panel from try to insert glass, windscreen water spray nozzle was displaced and disc inserted on the right hand side of the panel. Scratches, nozzle was resolved with panel beater and insurance company. The disc was not resolved. Yesterday, on the 1 February 2013, Metro issued a fine of R200 for incorrect display of disc. Metro re-affirmed incorrect placement and suggested pay the fine at a 50% discount and claim back from Glasfit. Today morning, at 8am, we went to Glasfit Pinetown. We met Kevin and he recognised us as from the last altercation. He appeared nervous but we calmly explained the situation. He responded by stating that the disc was correctly displayed and that Metro was just on a money making drive. Upon advice, we asked if we should leave it as it is and that in court could we subpoena you for this statement. He declined. He suggested moving the disc. I smiled knowing that we would have to pay the fine and move the disc without any compensation. Peace
