Shoprite
Advertising not clear and is misleading

Shops, Products, Services

I just went into Shoprite Queenswood to buy a 2L Coca Cola Zero. When I got to the fridge with the Coca Cola Zero, there was a huge promotional sign saying Coca Cola R12.49. At the till the price was over R15 and when I queried it, was told the promotion is not for the Zero or Light but only for full sugar Coca Cola. I pointed out that it only says Coca Cola and Marna, the store manager, told me if it was for Zero and Light as well, the sign would have said "assorted". I do not work there and only walked in to buy a drink. I do not know these things. It is not clear to me, the consumer. Lastly, as a diabetic I find it quite discriminating that people who can use sugar can get a discounted price, but diabetics not... Is my money not good enough or do you prefer us going somewhere else? Marna made it clear that I could go somewhere else. She is not willing to keep a regular client happy and prefer to lose all my future business to keep the -R12 that I would get as a discount on the promotion. Keep up the good attitude Marna, you will not see me again! It is not the first time that I myself had problems at Shoprite Queenswood and I know of other people as well...
