Pick 'n Pay
False price advertisement on their shelves

Shops, Products, Services

On the 9th of I went to the Pick 'n Pay at Randpark Ridge. One of the items that I purchase was Goldcrest Chick peas, on the shelves it was marked R10.99 but at the tills it was rung up at R11.99, R1, 00 difference. When I spoke to the one of the manager there, he was indifferent and said that the price on the system and the shelves could be different at which I told him that it was not an excuse. I went before to PNP Randpark Ridge on the 27th of November where the PNP Mochajava coffee was marked R39, 99 and at the till it was R41, 99 and the Eskort Vienna Chicken and Cheese was R34, 99 and at the till it was over R40 rand. They refunded me on the previous order but I was not prepared to wait for R1, 00 this time. I insisted that they get their Head Office to phone me but 48 hours later and nobody has even tried to phone me.

This seems to be a standard practice at Pick 'n Pay Randpark Ridge as the one night anaother client complaint about the same thing that there is a price difference between shelving and the tills.

Is this perhaps the way that cheat us in buying the product by false advertisement and hopeful that we will not pick up that there is a price diferrence?
