Truworths
GINGER MARIE RETURN

My boyfriend purchased a dress from Truworths (Ginger Marie brand) as a gift. When I was about to use it and as I was ironing it, we noticed that the dress had spots at some places. I took the dress to the Rosebank branch as I wanted to return it and get the same dress. Because my boyfriend had threw away the cash sale slip, the rosebank branch manager refuse to accept it even though the tag was with the dress and Truwoths is the only store that sells Ginger Marie. I can understand if it was my fault but this is a defect from the supplier which clearly they are not taking responsibility for. Truworths is an expensive store, and to think that they dont even stand by the products they sell. I guess quality means nothing.

I have to hand it to Edgars and Woolorths, if there is a problem on any of their products, it is taken back without hesitation. Now that is service. Truworths should learn what customer service is and be able to use their discretion on things being returned. If there is a defect, it is NOT the customers fault and should be taken back with or without the cash sale slip.
