I took up a building package and was told it would take 7 - 8 months to build, however the developers have attorneys they use for their transactions.
The process with the attorneys started in May 2013. We completed our documentation and payment of outstanding monies was paid in May 2013 already. As I write this email, the Baartman attorneys have STILL not lodged our papers for the transfer of the land onto our name. It has been one excuse after another. We requested a statement of the trust account where our money was deposited over 3 weeks ago and to-date nothing has been sent. I learnt my lesson and will never use them again, but saomething needs to be done 7 months of "building" was invested in sorting out the legal side of things. Really?!?!?
