Firstly, my gripe is with Pick "n Pay in general. They are constantly advertising specials for which they never receive stock. Customers are lured in on false pretences - excuse always, oh we don't do the advertising ourselves & we haven't received the stock!
I went in last Thur. to buy a fan advertised, special starting on Thur. Was told they hadn't received stock, come back Sat. Went back on Sat.- the excuses varied from "sold out" to "we haven't received stock". I hate it when people to me! I asked to see a manager - Riyaz spoke to me. I explained my feelings re this issue & after kicking up a fuss, he promised faithfully he would have the product on Tue for me. He took my details. He refused to give me a similar item at the same price. I returned once again, for the 3rd time, on Tue. afternoon. Only to be glibly told he couldn't get the product! I asked why he hadn't phoned me to advise me - another cheeky reply! I again asked for a similar product for the same price & he refused. Other retailers have gone out of their way to be helpful to me in similar circumstances! If this is P'n P's attitude to customers, they deserve to lose market share! They should be ashamed!
