Pick 'n Pay
Ripping off customers by selling bad/off food

Shops, Products, Services

I bought a vegetable lasagne from Pick 'n Pay Oakfields on Sunday, 24 November 2013. It went straight into the fridge when we got home. My husband and I each took some to work on Monday, 25 November 2013. The pastry and cheese was fine but once I reached the vegetables I bit into something slimy and horrendously off. I spat it out immediately but still developed nausea and a very bad headache. My husband thought that it was the worst lasagne he had ever eaten but as he doesn't usually eat vegetarian thought it was just the vegetables & ate most of it. He developed extreme nausea and diarrhea while still at work, it continued into the evening and still this morning. I was planning to return the lasagne to the store but as we both work simply haven't had the time. This is not the first time that we have bought off food from this store but this was certainly the worst case!! As I am short of time I have only managed to return off strawberries once. In that case they were off but they were not past their sell by date. I will absolutely not be buying from the Deli again!! Food is expensive as it is and this store is purposely ripping off their customers.
