Total disgust

I have received a call last week Thursday from a lady phoning from Edgars stating that I owe them some 3000 odd and need to pay it as in NOW or the next day. Firstly I do not have 3k in the middle of the month and I don't understand how it can be that much as I only received a statement October last. We (me and the lady phoning) arranged that I pay X amount for the next 3months...

Today I got another phone call, stating that my account has now been suspended and I have been given over to the Credit Bureau, meaning I am now BLACKLISTED!

Please I need help or advise in this regard. Its a bad thing against my name now.
