Pricing of tomatoes

I was at the store yesterday afternoon to get some groceries, at the tomato stand there was an advertising board that promoted POMO tomatoes R 15.99 so I took a packet. When I got to the paypoint I was charged R 17.99 for the tomatoes. I told the cashier that there is a special on the tomatoes. She send the packer girl to go and check the price, the girl came back and reported R 15.99. Immediately the cashier called the Superviser and they reverse the R17.99 without consulting me. I asked to see the store manager this lady came to me and said that the POMO tomatoes are sold out and that the tomatoes I took was indeed R 17.99. My question is how is customers suppose to now the difference in brand if there is just one brand on the shelf advertising R 15.99? As I was discussing the price with the manager another employee of the shop came and remove the advertising board --- I left the store without the tomatoes --- I went to buy tomatoes at another retail store --- I told the manager that I am going to leave a complaint on this website
