Extreme rudeness during a telephone call

Recently, early on a Saturday morning, I received a call from a person who identified himself as Kgomotso Sekati from Edgars. He told me that I didn't pay the full installment on my account 2 months earlier and as a result my account was in arrears and had to be settled immediately. At the end of every month I pay the installment shown on the Edgars system in-store therefore I was quite surprised to receive this phone call. I was told that the amount shown on the system is not to be taken as the correct amount, only the amount given in the statement sent by post should be taken as correct. This doesn't make sense and it creates an inconvenience to me as it is not always possible for me to collect the post before the account payment is due. I tried to explain this to the caller but he kept on interrupting me saying: "you must pay'' repeatedly. He would not let me finish even half a sentence. He was so rude that it was pointless trying to continue talking. I went to the store the following day and paid the "overdue" amount. However, this call left such a bad taste in my mouth that I have since closed my account of 15 years. An apology would have been appropriate, such rudeness not.
