A few weeks back I received an SMS from Jet advising me that my account has been handed to the lawyers because of none payments and yet I don't have an account with them. When I called they could not trace anything with my I.d, I gave them my mom's I.d number who passed away on the 18th September 2011 and they told me that the account belongs to her. I advised the person who assisted me that I handed in her death certificate at Jet in Newcastle & an amount of R3000 was paid back to us. I was told that someone will contact me with the way forward, nobody not acted me till this month. I told the lady that I handed in the death certificate in Newcastle she told me that they did not receive it, she can't phone the branch and that it was my responsibility to submit it or else they are going to blacklist me. I'm getting several threatening sms's that this will reflect in my credit record, I never signed anything with Jet or Edcon and when my mom opened the account nobody called me to advise that my mom has put my name as her surety. I'm getting disturbed in meetings with the disgusting calls that I've got nothing to do with.
