Cheque card payment done twice, double charge!!

On Wednesday (9 Sept) i bought Clinique products worth R940 from Edgars Red Square in Rissik street and paid using my cheque card. The lady swiped my cheque card and i got a notification on my phone that the amount has been paid from my account. She told me that the system had declined payment and she swiped my cheque card the second time. I notified her that the amount deducted from my account was R1880, and was told that the transaction will be reversed the next day if not, i should return with a bank statement. The reversal did not take place and i went back to the store again on Thursday and notified her that the amount was not paid back, after waiting at the "Enquiry/Customer service area" for over an hour she basically did nothing to solve the problem. I went back again today (Friday the 11th Sept) and spoke to the "Steve-assistant manager" and was told that this must be investigated and i only be able to get my money on Monday (14th Sept). Why should it take so long for me to be refunded? I am very disappointed and up to a boiling point, because 7 days is too long and i should have been refunded the 1st day i laid a complaint. 7 DAYS!!!
