Poor Quality Lounge Suite

2 Years ago we saved up and bought an imitation leather lounge suite from House and Home. A year later a crack in the fabric appeared and caused peeling. We were referred to an someone they use to recover furniture.
We recovered the one cushion at our expense under the assumption we may have somehow caused the peeling.
We followed all care instructions with the furniture. We've had the lounge suite for 2 years and it is now completely cracked and peeling and looks ready to be replaced.
I contacted house and Home and they are not being helpful. I asked them about the quality of fabric used and they insisted they have sold many of these lounge suits and had no complaints. When I asked them to investigate why the fabric on my lounge suite was not durable - they kept re-iterating fabric is not covered under warranty only framework.
They referred me back to the chap who covered my one cushion and he explained that it would cost me R4500 minimum to recover the lounge suite and he would NOT use the same poor quality fabric sold to me as this was under "20 000 rubs" and doesn't last.
This is totally unacceptable!!! The supplier and retailer should be accountable for such bad quality.
