On 08/09/2013 I bought a digital watch for my son to reward him on the 20th September. After he wore the watch for the 3rd time the strap pin fell out. I finally got a chance last night to return the watch to Truworths and make an installment on my account. The same sales lady that sold the watch, called a colleague to assist her to try and assemble the strap to the watch. He tried and then told me that they dont have their tool to fix it, but that I can go to the opposite NWJ Jewellers and they can fix it for free for me. I was under the impression that NWJ & Truworths had a deal to assist. At NWJ Jewellers they found it very strange that I was referred to them, and upon looking at the watch said that it seems their is a manufacturing problem with the hole that the clip must enter. I then walked across back to Celeste to ask for the mans name, to which she replied she dont know his name as he dont work for Truworths. With all this commotion of the watch and them not trying to assist me in a professional manner, Celeste took my instalment payment of R550.00 (I paid with 2xR200 & 2xR100 notes) she never gave my change of R50.00. I have reported the matter and would like a decent outcome
