According to my credit record I am one month behind on my payments (I opened an account with Edgars for the sole purpose of having a credit record as I hate buying things on credit and would rather pay cash). As far as I know I have been paying my account faithfully and even pay more when I can afford to. The problem came in when I realised that my available credit was not reflecting the sometimes double payments I made. I went into two stores and was told that they could not tell me exactly how it happened and that payments took time to reflect.
I then called the customer care line to ask that my statements from May to date be emailed to me so that I can cross-reference them with my bank statements (I pay my installment either in CNA or Edgars with my bank card) and make the necessary payments should I find that I am at fault. She promised that I would receive the statements within 48 hours. That was three weeks ago.
I then sent an email via the Edgars website on 18 September (ref number 2018969/20130918/S.G.N) using my account details. I get an email back asking for my account number. I just want to sort this out but I cannot get a straight answer on time. WHY? So disappointed
