Shoprite
Shoprite milk (ritebrand) gave my 2 kids runny tummy and stomach

Shops, Products, Services

I was doing my monthly groceries at our local Shoprite store where I spend R1850.00 on the 13th of September 2013. There was one pack of milk, Ritebrand 6x1litre which was bought on that particular day. The first litre when opened the silver seal inside was broken and I thought it was just broken by mistake and we consumed the milk with my kids. they started complaining about stomach pains and they started having a runny tummy. my wife also complained about the same problem. The other litre of milk was opened and this time it was evident that there was a problem with the milk as it was too thick but expires next year. The milk was just too rich. I decided to lodge a complain with the store which happened today 23 September 2013 and oh my... what a bad treatment I recieved from the stuff including the manager on duty who clearly wasnt interested. I was asked if I was sure the stomach problems were the results of the milk. there was an employee who shouted what makes him sure it was the milk which gave them runny tummy. then there was a polite woman named Cecilia who tasted the milk and confirmed the milk was too rich and could be the cause of the stomach pains and runny tummy
