Expensive jeans that are shocking quality

I purchased a pair of jeans on 15 June from Canal Walk branch, after just 3 months the seams have split open on both inner thighs. Initially I was told I could bring them back no problem. When I went to do this I was told I had to have a slip. I unfortunately did not keep the slip, however I did purchase on my card, I asked them of they could not go back on the computer and look for the purchase on the 15 June, I was told this did not prove I purchased the jeans, but surely if they go back and see the exact size, curve id purchased, with my card details this was proof enough? I was then asked if I had used fabric softener when washing jeans, this came as a bit of a surprise to me, when I purchased I was not told I couldn't use it, not do I think this is an excuse for the fact that these R900 jeans I spent my hard earned money saving up for breaking after a mere 3 month. I'm really disappointed and have to say I don't think I'll be rushing to buy another pair but rather supporting somebody who takes brand loyalty seriously as well as quality of their products.
