NO Returns: Russel Hobbs Iron Broken in 1 Month

Livid does not describe what I am feeling. Bought my Russel Hobbs Iron at the Town Centre branch on 01/07/2013 for R180 (Fabric Smart Easy Glide 1600watt, model #: RH1901. On the morning of 12/08/2013 while ironing my shirt (not a cheap one might I add) the iron just got extremely hot and it burnt my shirt, staining the plate of the iron and then I realised there was no power. Because my mother bought it for me I asked her to change it with all slips and the stamped manual at the store. A very rude manager told her that the item has been abused. Now knows how I couldve abused this iron when I use once a week and every so often in this short time. She is a rude person with no people skils as I witnessed her being rude with her colleaugues as well. What me off is the fact that she just refuses to take it back even after i was there last night and explaining her what happened to the iron. No offering to repair or service or even check with RHobbs, which I now will decline cos I want the iron replaced. I have had to buy a new iron in this time at Game which you can learn so much from when it comes to customer service. I need a response urgently.
