Money deductet of pay without employee signature

I was informed with a letter 1 day before pay day {25 July} that i will not be paid for my sick leave it wil be unpaid sick leave, in the letter it says that its for ref porposses so I do not inquire why I did not get all my salary The duduction on my salary was 72% of what I get a month, there were also days from the previous month that was deducted. However I did reseived my full salary for last month and all my sick leave days was signed off by the Area Manager and there were nothing said to me that it will be unpaid sick leave and been deductet this month. How can you be paid the one month in full and the next month they deducted money off your salarry for unpaid sick leave? For all the days that I was off sick I have valid Dr notes for all of them. I did not sign any dept agreement for so that the money can be deducted they also did not even give me an opsion to pay the money off becauce off the big amount it is. There were no proof given to me how many days they have taken of or the amounts only got a surprice on my pay slip.
