Not allowed to swipe card

Today I quickly went to the Bakenkop Spar in Wierda Park, Cenutuion, just wanted to buy one product costing R7.99.
The very unfriendly lady who could hardly speak up, called someone, I asked her about 3 times what is the problem, she replied I just need to find out something. The guy she called arrived, no idea who he was, asked me what the problem was. Very confused I said there is no problem I just want to pay. He then said I have to spend more than R10 to be able to swipe my card. May I just say which is total. I AM THE CLIENT! And the one who pays. I have purchased multiple times at the same Spar and various other shops for less than R10 (with my card), because I do not carry cash with me. And never has it been a problem. If this has changed at this specific Spar, then put up a clear notice at every teller. If this is the way this Spar will be doing business, I will take my regular and loyal purchases somewhere else.
