Instructions are deceiving

I bought an Addis Spritzia floor cleaner on sunday from builders warehouse. The instructions clearly say add hot water into the water bottle which is exactly what my helper did, and gues what? The bottle shriveled up and shrank. Now this is highly unexpeced as one would assume that they wrote these instructions after testing the product. So now what am i supposed to do as i clearly cant spray without the bottle.
Very confused and disappointed.
