The pricing on the shelf different from the till

Upon realising that the amount displayed on the shelf was different from the amount when canned, i mentioned it to the lady on the till; who sent me back to go check; which i did twice. Then she sent the pacer to check, and she returned with the pricing tag confirming that the item was priced at R169.99 on the shelf, though appearing as R188.99 at the till. This she brought to the attention of Lawrence Morake (Supervisor), who simply rectified the billing at the till, with no apology - further istructing the till lady to proceed, then walked away. I advised that this is not the process according to CPA, and she looked at me confused, calling the supervisor - who aswell was as stunned at my advice. He then called the Manager (Sphiwe Moyo), whom i had to repeat myself to, then he commented in saying "he will not observe the CPA Policy, and award me the item at no charge". Avoiding any further discomfort at this ignorance, i requested the till lady to proceed with the transaction.

I am not sre if this is the kind of revamp Shoprite is reviewing for its Customer Service, though this is extremely unstisfactory; and consumers are being taken advantage of, at the cost of neglegence.
