New tent cover tore was told we Refuse to replace

I bought a R2000.00 4 seasons tent a 2 weeks ago. I used it this week. When i was packing the tent back into the bag it (The Bag) Tore very badly nearly in half. I took the tent bag back to the shop to try get a replacement, seeing as it tore on first use and must be a fault of some sort.

I was Told that the bag is torn and they refuse to replace it because I tore it and its made of rip stop material and it should not have torn so bad... (Which actually is the whole reason why im bringing it back I thought because I thought the same thing it should not have torn! so to me it was obvious it was a faulty bag)

Now Seeing as its brand New I thought it would be obvious it was a fault with the bag in some way. I was told They will repair it but They REFUSE to replace it. To be honest If i Buy a very expensive Tent I expect the bag not tear on first use and to repair it is not good enough.

I am a tour operator and use outdoor equipment for a living, I have bought over R60 000.00 worth of equipment from the Woodmead Outdoor Warehouse and was very shocked to be told they refuse to replace the bag.

I am very disappointed and this is my first bad experience with this store
