Refusal to refund amount

My wife bought a set of pans from them with a voucher, these were damaged and i went to reurn this, as my wife already went and bought another set from game. thereafter my wife said if i buy anything from the mr price goup again i shouldnt bother coming home, after conveying this to the manager she said sorry that i have to take a voucher and could not have any cash back, so now i am stuck for voucher i have no use for and am out of pocket R229 because of damaged and poor quality goods . this is absolute, and is in breach of the consumer protection act i beleive there is a section about freedom of choice and now i have to purchase something from their stores i will be taking this to the ombudsman for further action
