Misleading the custome

Shoprite had an sale, (buy 2kg omo and get 1kg free).
They were OUT OF STOCK of the 1kg omo.
I bought 2x2kg and was suppose to get 2x1kg omo, they did not have and i asked the store manager if i could take 1x2kg witch amounted to the same thing (6kg). I was told that i need to take 2x1kg sunlight because it will mess up there system.
This is misleading the customer.

WHY HAVE A SALE/PROMOTION THEN?
This is not the first time that they have a sale and then the stuff is not available.
