I was promised no charge and charged... no response

We moved to a rental property. Owner wanted to keep alarm service in their name... could get no service out of ADT and was eventually advised it was due to unpaid bill. Then set up own account but after a week of testing service and getting no response contacted ADT who said their was no signal. Alarm was constantly going off so asked for technician. (was by this point quite fed up and promised as long as alarm was faulty their would be no charge). Technician charged me on invoice, when i told him I was promised no charge he advised he was not authorised to remove charge and to sign invoice agreeing work had been done. I did so in good faith as 2 people had promised me no charge- received bill for R475 I called 5 times (was hung up on whilst on hold) I sent an email which no-one responded to. Reiceived another invoice and then payment was just taken off my account. Called again and was told someone would respond... they did not. Called again and received email saying no record that I would not be charged. Have sent another email asking for voice recordings to be found from telephone calls and for amount to be refunded... still no response.
