RIP-OFF

In January 2007, we had an ADT alarm system installed on a rental basis. We were led to believe that we would never have to pay for any repairs or mintenance to the system, as it would never belong to us. The only part of this that turned out to be true, was that it would never belong to us!!

Now, five (5) years later, we are paying R401, 04 per month and are fully liable for any repairs that need to be done... I am aware of NEW clients paying less than this...

In March 2011 our Alarm system was struck by lightening, we had to pay to have it replaced...

Furthermore, I reported that my Alarm system was not working on Monday 11th February. I reported it again on Tuesday, the 12th. No one has bothered to respond to my request as yet...

I am posting this as a warning to anyone considering the services of ADT... Please make sure that you read all the "fine" print. The picture that they paint might not be as rosy as it seems...
