Debt collectors phoning me - ADT has the money

My debit order was unpaid and I contacted ADT to arrange payment. I made the payment and sent the confirmation as instructed to [Email Removed] I had no further communication from ADT so assumed all was in order. Now I am being phoned by debt collectors (Nu Debt) for the payment.
Why didn't ADT bother to follow up themselves on the R359.87 that I owe them. Why have I already been handed over to debt collectors?

Mabe they will bother to phone me now that I have complained!
