CHANGES UNANNOUNCED

Recreation & Entertainment

I am a Dstv premium subscriber and I am writing this report on behalf of my mother who subscribes to one of the cheaper Dstv packages. As an Afrikaans speaking family we decided on one of the cheaper packages which included KykNet. Now all of the sudden, without any announcement or notification from Multichoice, the whole package has changed and KykNet is now no longer available on my mother's package (now only a similar channel with programmes as old as television itself). This is totally unacceptable as this was not what was agreed upon originally. Is multichoice as a service provider allowed to just change these things without the client having any say in the matter? Isn't it exactly the same as signing a cellphone contract, only to be billed more than what you agreed on, for less of what you were promised. I understand prices increasing, but taking away certain channels and adding others that we have no interest in is unacceptable in the worst way. I am not happy about this at all and have taken the matter under advisement and no one will be happy with this kind of service delivery!!!
