Not refunding money paid for wedding

I fully paid up my booking for a wedding for 21 April 2012 but had to cancel due to personal problems. I was told that the owners, Frik and Danie, don't have sufficient funds to repay me and would pay per month. I paid a total of R50000.00, after late cancellation deduction of 30% I would receive R30000.00. As yet I have only received R15000.00 and they don't reply to Emails or messages. If I phone Frik or Danie I am treated with disrespect and told that it is not their problem that I had to cancel the wedding. The latest story I was told by Frik was that he and Danie have parted ways and that Danie owed me the money, not Frik and that I should be happy with anything that I get.
