SABC
Not much on TV these days

Being a loyal, paying "TV licensed subscriber" I find the choices given to me between regular channels alarmingly few (if at all!) and a back-handed slap in the face! Most mornings you have a choice between 3 early morning shows, 1 which is okey to watch & Barney! Midday they show TV shows out of the archives, too old, and endless info-mercials, mostly 1 showing on 2 channels at the same time!! Prime time viewing I'm bombarded with local (is not so lekker) soaps with stories so absurd I can't bring myself to watch it: black soaps are all the same & all they do is argue and try to see who can change the language most in 1 sentence!! Old American soaps... and 7de Laan. Later there might be 1 decent show like Survivor on, but also outdated/old news. It seems like you only buy good old TV shows to screen as late as possible!! Program directors at the SABC are either overpaid or sadistic! Please do something about the "choices" people have between channels, not everyone likes the same thing. Even Etv keeps to the same programming style even though they are supposed to be separate from SABC! Not everyone likes the "kasi-style"!!
