Bloomberg channel withdrawn (411)

The BLOOMBERG service has been withdrawn by DSTV. The service is watched closely by many viewers, and Bloomberg has been a channel since inception of DSTV. The compromise offer to mix a few hours of Bloomberg per day with the local services of Channel 412 is not what viewers want. Bloomberg subscribers know that Bloomberg is a 24 hour channel. All local markets are closely correlated to events on global markets. Bloomberg is the only live feed source of global financial markets and denial of coverage will cause South Africans to again slip a few more inches away from the forefront of access to global continuous coverage from a non regionalised service.
