Negligence results in broken toe and high bills

My family and I went to Gold Reef City to watch a show on Sunday afternoon. We decided to take a walk on the walkway to see some of the rides. While standing near a balcony, a metal solid pole which was extremely heavy fell on my foot. This solid pole had not been fixed/concreted into the ground and was placed upright in the middle of the walkway. The pole had fallen onto my right foot and broke my big toe. The medical attention at Gold reef was disappointing. Their 'clinic' did not even have an ice pack for my foot. They refused to call an ambulance and mentioned that they will not take responsibility for what had happened. I only got to a hospital after an hour of arguing and sitting in excruciating pain. I have had 2 surgeries since the incident and have incurred over R10 000 in medical bills. I could not work for 2 weeks and this incident has caused much inconvenience. Until today, I have not even received a call from Gold Reef City!
