Order of programs being aired

Episode two of Private Practice, aired 15 January 2013, revealed certain specific details regarding the following Grey's Anatomy season (yet to be aired in South Africa).
This now, obviously, to a certain degree spoils the upcoming Grey's Anatomy season for those of us who are looking forward to this next season.
Why has the new Grey's Anatomy season not aired in South Africa? And why then would another series that goes hand-in-hand with it be aired beforehand, and spoil the upcoming season we look forward to see?

I am disappointed.
