UIF Commissioner's secretary goes extra mile

For the past 8 months I have been fighting to receive my maternity UIF. I even paid an agency to apply on my behalf. What a waste of money that was! However there was issues with my surname and no one was able to help. Junior clerks in all labour centres, supervisors and regional managers were unable to sort out my payment. No one took ownership of the problem.

After 8 months I wrote letters of complaint to media and consumer commission as well as the UIF Commissioner's office directly.

Finally after many unbelievable experiences with Dept. of labour and none of the staff wanting to be responsible for my case, Dorothy came to the rescue and sorted out my payment.
