Sars is a joke

SARS SA is a joke. Very quick to jump on people to pay their taxes and to file their taxes and very quick to penalize everyone who files late, but to those who are always on time and file their taxes they just never provide any service to. My tax was filed via efiling and accroding to efiling it takes UP TO 5 working days for processing.

it has been 2 weeks and still no processing and efiling site still says that it take 5 working days to process thus the site is not even updated after the 5 days.

Tried phoning sars and efiling department both and every single time held for over 45minutes and ran out of airtime each time (R110 x 4 = R440 of airtime spent on the phone) and still havent been able to get hold of sars.

Several emails sent to sars (with delivery and read notifications enabled) and the mails does not even get elivered to the email addresses SARS provide.

This is really bad and nothing less you would expect from SA government institutions.

And then SARS staff still have the odacity to say they are the best government section...
