As a small business which does not have easy or regular access to a tax practitioner to navigate the intricacies of the SARS efiling website for us when we do our monthly returns, I have to voice the loudest possible complaint. The efiling website is NOT easy to navigate. We can just about manage to do the standard monthly returns, but when needing to find correspondence or check outstanding amounts of make additional payments, it is so difficult. And getting answers always requires phoning SARS and trying, through a process of elimination, to work out what it is that is still needed. And why do we need to populate standard details about our company every time we submit a return? Come on, SARS, technology is so advanced these days that you really can do a lot better than this to make your clients' lives less miserable. And now, the latest, is in gibberish for some of us - what on earth is a credit pull (as opposed to a debit push)??? Speak English, please, we are human!
