Still not on the system since July 2013

This is on behalf of my sister whose child was diagnosed at birth with Larsen Syndrome. She was granted a disability grant from the 1st year the child was born (he's now 3 years old). The grant was suspended in May 2013 and she was asked to renew it.

She submitted all forms in July 03, 2013 - at the SASSA office ins Gugulethu Cape Town. Now each month she misses school and very early in the morning goes to check if the grant has been approved but she always comes back saying she was told to come again the following month. Yesterday again she went and was told the same thing. When she asked what the delay was she couldn't get an answer only that people have been waiting since March for their grants. I took it upon myself and phoned the 0800601011 number to check the status - only to be informed that her new details have not been loaded on the system yet!!! Imagine the horror that all this time her form is still lying there somewhere and no one has done anything. Her child depends on the grant and she has to take her each month to the Red Cross Genetics Clinic.
