Workmens Compensation
No response or payment - medical unfit

Politics & Government

Case 88/195673: I had an injury on duty (1988) and on later stage was declared unfit for duties by necessary doctors. Many reports, correspondence, telephone call and travelling gone by and till now i only hear promises. I had a back operation a month ago due to injury and my medical aid paid for it. Year ago i visited the office of a lady, Kimby, at Pretoria (had to travel 800 km) and she said that she only need proof of adress and then payment should be made within 3 months. Proof of residence where taken by family member in person. I am 72 years old now and my pension is not enough for medical expenses due to injury. Why must companies pay for workmens compensation and when there is a claim it is a disaster.
