High Court
I'm so frustrated!!!

Politics & Government

My divorce, which was granted TEN YEARS AGO has not been registered at Home Affairs! As I will be getting married in the near future, I was told to request an original copy of my divorce decree from the Johannesburg South High Court. I have spoken to approximately five different people since the beginning of June to ask for this document. Approx 80% of the time the phone is not answered, and when I eventually do speak to a person I get nothing but excuses and! I have been told by the same person since 19/6/13 that she has posted my document on four occasions - the details vary each time. I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY DOCUMENT! Today's excuse was that she had a problem when handing my document over to the person who does the posting, and she has now lost it! I cannot speak to a supervisor as I only get transferred to the same number (and of course I'm lucky if they answer the call at all), and the one person that gave me an email address never responded. The rest of the staff claim not to have email. I'm at my wits end! I live 8 hours away from the courst and cannot drive up to fetch the document!! I hope this message stirs someone into action.
