Far East Rand Hospital
Unhappy by the treatment from the hospital staff

Went to see a patient at Far East Rand hospital ward 6 (Female ward) on the 27th August 2013evening and there was water around het bed which was coming from the other side and I went to report to the staff that there was water and the place is not nice and I was just told to go and take the mop and clean I felt so low and undermined as it their job to make sure that the place is clean and in good hygene.

On the 28th went again to the same ward in the evening and I was told by the people who went to see the patient in the afternoon at 15h00 and I was told that the patient was not waking up and it seemed like she was on heavy medication and she did not eat the whole day and the asked the sister in charge and she seemed not to care or explain why that was happening, then in the evening I went to see the patient as well as I got there the sister in charge was doing her rounds with the staff and I did report to them that the patient was not waking up and that she did not eat the whole day and I was just ignored as if I did not say anything

I am really saddend by the whole situation as we go to hospitals to get help not to be treated like dirt what was the pledge for?
