Complete incompetence

Incompetent staff hiding behind a toothless call centre. I've been trying for months to get a Tax Clearance certificate out of SARS. It's been refused through their error, that being that they did not deregister a previous business in spite of their receiving the required de-registration letter at the time.
I've physically been to the offices and shown the consultant the copy of the dated letter to prove it's their error, after which the consultant told me it will now all be sorted out. But no, once again, nothing has been sorted out and they continue to refuse the issue of the Tax Certificate. What more can one do? So now I cannot open a business because I cannot register and get a TAX number, which means I cannot provide employment because these people are incompetent. Bless South Africa. But what do they, like so many other government departments care?
