Photos' not required

Thankyou to the JHB Traffic department (I have no idea what they are called these days) for the reminder notification to renew my drivers licence. It states that 3 recent photographs, an acceptable copy of ID, current drivers licence and of course the fee are the requirements. Knowing the queue that normally precedes these tedious transactions I got all the requirements together, paid R60 for photo's and R3 for a photo copy of my ID.
Joined the queue and waited, 2 hours later I sat at the eye test and low & behold, no photo's or ID copy required, everything is electronic like it should be. I just wasted R63.00 for nothing. How about giving the customer the correct information in future. How many people have wasted their money on this info?
