Gross abuse of power by SARS

I flaw from Luanda to Cape Town and as the South African customs asked to verify my luggage I asked the officer why and he failed to give an explanation then he asked if I have been checked by the South African home affairs the officer in questions also failed to answer the question. Now I have my personal clothes as well as my personal laptop and toiletry confiscated by SARS (Customs).
As a resident of South Africa do I have to declare my personal clothes to SARS? Do I have to declare my personal computer that have been using for over 2 years?

Now for the 48 hours I have been without clothes and un able to go visit my son in Pretoria as I cant visit my son for 10 days without my clothes, is this truly in accordance with the law?
