Anele Solves It!! Get real

Today I stopped listening to Highveld Stereo completely after listening to Anele Mdoda explain the most ludicrous thing she's heard all day. The comment she made concerned Oscar Pistorius and his appeal hearing. She's saved the legal system in this country a lot of money and has judged Mr Pistorius and found him guilty. She stated that while he is alive and wanting better LIVING conditions, Reeva Steenkamp is dead. She then went on to spew further nonsense.

Anele, South Africa has this thing we call Due Process. Its right there in chapter 2 section 35 of our constitution. Mr Pistorius has a legal right to a fair trial. He has a legal right to present his case in a court of law and have his evidence heard. He stands accused of murder. He has need been tried, nor has he been found guilty and judged for murder in the case of Miss Steenkamp.

While I have not made up my mind on the case of Mr Pistorius, it seems that Highveld Stereo has found the man guilty before his trial by allowing its DJ's to deliver disparaging commentary about Mr Pistorius on live radio. While the DJ's have a right to their own opinion, It is sometimes to better to keep it to yourself. You've lost a listener.
